Hello MCT Dive Team Family!!

For all returning members……WELCOME BACK!!!!

For all new members, my name is Allison Cole and I’m the head coach of the MCT dive team. I’ve been a part of the MCT dive family for 17 years. After being a diver for this team I was hired as a coach. I have been coaching for MCT for 6 years (this year being my 7^th). I love this team. This pool is my home and a big part of my life. The MCT dive team is such a wonderful opportunity for so many children and teens. I couldn’t be more proud to be the coach of this team and help so many young kids accomplish their goals while having so much fun in the sun!

I’m so excited to start the 2010 dive season. Last year was a very successful year. We won the Dual meet season first place trophy and the Divisional meet first place trophy!! This means that we are currently ranked #1 in Division 1. This is a great accomplishment and I would like to congratulate everyone from last year’s team for accomplishing such a great achievement!

I am looking forward to this season. We have a great team of coaches this year! I’m sorry to say that Lindsey won’t be returning to the MCT dive family this season. She was given a wonderful internship opportunity that will help her advance in her studies at UMD. However, we have a WONDERFUL Assistant coach coming to the family this year!!! I am so excited!!!!!!

First, I would like to introduce Danny Laut. Danny is our Assistant coach. Danny was one of my MCT Dive team mates throughout my MCT Diving career. He’s been a part of the MCT dive team for 14 years. Danny was also a diver for Magruder High School all four years of his attendance. Danny currently a junior at University of Maryland and is pursuing a Bachelors degree in computer science. Danny was also a CIT while diving for MCT. He’s so excited about returning to MCT as a coach. Danny is wonderful with kids and I have no doubt that he will win all the hearts of our divers. Please welcome Danny to our coaching staff!!!

Next, I would like to welcome back our Jr. assistant coach, Andy Goldschmidts. He’s been a part of our team for many years and was such a great addition to our coaching staff last season. Andy is not only a coach, but a 15-18 diver for our team, as well. He is currently a student at Magruder High School and one of the captains of the Magruder dive team. Andy is wonderful with our beginner divers and really enjoys seeing them advance and grow.

Danny, Andy and I would like to welcome everyone to our family. Whether you have never been off a dive board before, or you are a top level diver, everyone has a place on our team. We love seeing everyone accomplish their goals and grow into stronger individuals. The dive team is a very social family and we encourage the making of new friends and having fun while working toward a common and individual goal.

So, come one come all to the MCT dive team and get ready to have an AWESOME year!!
