Dive Team

Welcome to the first official week of the dive season! We have important updates and the week’s schedule below.

Practices will be held Wed-Fri this week from 5:30-6:30 pm in the dive well. An updated practice and meet calendar has been added to the website here.

Dive judges and referee training: We really need more judges and referees for our team. Please consider getting your certification – it’s free! Instructions for completing the training are here.

JUDGE Training:
(Note: an online NFHS training course must be completed prior to attending MCDL Judge Training – see here)

REFEREE Training

• May 31 10:30 am @ Manor Woods
• Jun 4 8:00 pm ONLINE (returning referees only)
• Jun 9 7:30 pm @ Palisades
• Jun 11 7:00 pm @ Glenwood

Coaches Trainings: Any divers ages 14+ are welcome to attend the coach training to become junior coaches. Jr coaches are unpaid but can help with practices and work up to becoming a dive coach! There are two training sessions scheduled for coaches (pick whichever date works best for your schedules)

Thursday, May 28th 5:45-7;45pm pm at Glenwood
Tuesday, June 2, 5:30-7:30pm at Potomac Swim and Tennis Club

Bettinger’s Rookie Meet will be on June 7th at Regency Estates! This is a practice meet for new divers; parents can practice judging and table work. If you are interested in attending this meet, please RSVP by next Thursday. If we do have divers attending this meet, we will also need parent volunteers for table work.
